On Saturday 12th April, an open forum was held in the village hall to which all the local villagers and surrounding villages were invited, along with representatives from the region's press. The purpose of the forum was primarily to offer assistance and help to all those who had not yet completed and submitted their objection forms to Norfolk County Council.

As the day progressed, we saw a steady stream of people come through the hall, both looking for help and assistance with the forms, but also seeking answers to some genuine concerns and worries.
Also present for the duration of the day was Neil Paddock from the East Winch Action Group, EWAG. Neil popped along to offer moral support, which was greatly appreciated - thanks Neil, and we were also extremely pleased to play host to reporters and photographers from the Lynn News and the EDP.

In addition to this, the meeting also served the secondary purpose of gathering in names to form an Action Group. We now have a dozen or so names of people who want to come on-board and form an action group, and the list will be finalised shortly.

On behalf of the entire village, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the local press, including the Lynn News, the EDP, BBC Radio Norfolk and KLFM for the incredible help they have given us in promoting the meeting and helping to further our campaign to save Pentney village.
