Since we first learned
that our village is at risk of being swallowed up by a dirty great quarry,
I have been sending dozens of letters a week to organisations that are both
directly and indirectly involved with the MIN93 proposal and the mineral
extraction industry in this part of the country.
Some of these organisations and individuals have taken the time to answer
my letters and offer advice or address our worries and concerns, and for
that I am extremely grateful.
However, a number of organisations and individuals are either ignoring my
letters, or else just refusing to respond to correspondence.
I find this very disappointing, as I'm not trying to trick or embarrass
anybody. I simply want to give everybody a chance to have their say, put
across their side of the story and paint an unbiased picture.
The following list shows who I have written to or tried to establish communication
with, who has replied, and who has so far refused to enter into dialogue.

There's an awfull lot of red crosses in that list.
Why won't those organisations and individuals talk to us? What have they
got to hide?
