BBC LOOK EAST REPORT ON QUARRY DANGERS
I've just watched the lunchtime edition of the BBC's local news programme Look East (May 23rd), and was interested to see a report on quarries and their hidden dangers. In the report, a spokesman from an Essex quarry company explained how these sites are a magnet for children eager to find adventurous makeshift playgrounds during the summer months, and stressed that they all too often tragically turn into deathtraps.
How many children will have to die while playing on the local quarry site before the powers that be admit that perhaps MIN93 wasn't such a suitable site after all.
