SPAG is an acromyn for Save Pentney Action Group, a group set up to pool resources and expertise within the village, with one aim in mind... To stop the proposed gravel quarry on the MIN93 site.
The action group exists as a committee of six people, with associated support from many other sources.
The main committee of six are Cliff Smalley (chair), Marian Storey (secretary), Frances Bligh, Kevin Stonebanks, Norman Sharp and Sam Thorn.
Although work and research carries on at a tremenous pace behind the scenes, the Save Pentney Action Group meets once a fortnight to discuss their findings, report on progress and make any decisions that are necessary to the running of the campaign.
The Save Pentney Action Group are a separate and un-connected entity to the Save Pentney website, which preceeded the action groups existence by several weeks. However, both the Action Group and website continue to stand shoulder to shoulder, united in a common cause.
On this page, you'll find an archive of the minutes from the Save Pentney Action Group meetings.
